The attacks "were carried out without regard to world public opinion and particularly the Islamic countries. These attacks will result in loss of life among civilians, and, therefore, they are not acceptable." -- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi.
"What America did today is that it had targeted a country and people who are among the poorest in the world. Anybody would condemn this attack, not because it's coming from America or because it's against Muslims and a Muslim country -- but because it was done outside the framework of international law and because America didn't present a convincing proof against those it accuses of terrorism." -- Iraqi government statement.
Hey, I'll repeat, who are these guys? What in the hell are they thinking?
I'll go to the words "religious fanatics". That's what they are. And their thinking is bundled in a "warped" sense of reality.
In our past we have not and in the present we will not, nor in the future will we, escape those among us who so passionately fight for their almighty cause in the name of their religion and their warped beliefs. You can't argue with stupid people just like you can't argue with people who reason with their emotions. It sucks now and always will suck and always has sucked.
What was the movie "Raiders of the Lost Arc"? Something like that. Anyway, this big asshole comes out wielding his almighty sword and handles it with precision like know one else could match. As lethal as any good army of warriors on his own, with that sword. At least one would think so if faced with the task of battling him. But, rest assured he fell to a power unbeknownst to his little pea brain, the swift bullet from 20 feet away.
It seems to be the only way to deal with these types of people. Forget reasoning. Forget politics. Forget saving the world. Just put them out of their warped misery. Else we will continue to pay for their lack of being fully human.
